Egon Schiele - Pioneer of modern trend

130 works from the Albertina’s own collection form the heart of this exhibition; they are combined with some 90 crucial loans. The ambition is to present a coherent concept of Schiele’s stylistic evolution as a draughtsman and watercolourist. A further highlight of the exhibition is the deeply moving series of ten watercolours executed by Egon Schiele during his traumatic imprisonment in Neulengbach.
